Low Fat Brownies



This recipe is perfect as a treat for all the family its lower in fat then most brownie recipes and tastes delicious.

  • Ingredients 
  • 85g dark chocolate , 70%  cocoa solids, chopped into  small pieces *
  • 85g plain flour
  • 25g cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 100g golden caster sugar
  • 50g light muscovado sugar
  • ½ tsp coffee granules
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp buttermilk 
  • (Or alternatively use 2 tbsp  fat free milk)
  • 1 egg
  • 100g Low Fat mayonnaise
Method

Pre-heat oven to gas mark 4 or 180c....Break chocolate into small pieces and gently melt chocolate in an heatproof bowl over a saucepan of hot water.
Mix together all of the dry ingredient Flour,Sugar,cocoa powder,coffee granules and bicarb.

Then add the Egg,Mayonnaise then the melted chocolate,vanilla extract and butter milk
combine together until fully Incorporated.
Grease and line square cake tin approx 19cm and bake for 30 minutes until skewer/ knife comes out clean when inserted into the middle.

Allow to cool and cut into approx 12 squares...then a guilt free treat enjoy
* I used milk chocolate just as a preference but dark chocolate is much better for you.
