Our kitchen is defiantly the heart of our home, Although it is quite a small kitchen, I would say i spend most of my time in this part of our home, it's where so many family meals are cooked daily, I tend to be in the kitchen quite alot, and the boys will often catch up with me sharing their day whilst I carry out the daily chores.
my youngest son is known as "chef" as he will often come and take over the cooking and start stirring whatever I'm cooking on the stove, he also loves to blend and add ingredients, I have to keep an eye on him, as in the past he has often tried to add unwanted food items to my dishes...eeek.
The great thing about our kitchen is that is a space that brings us together and my boys love to help out with the chores whilst chatting with me. We also spend lots of our bonding time in our kitchen baking and getting creative.
We will often make yummy cookies, smoothies and cakes. It's a great bonding time, and it gives the boys the chance to take over the kitchen and get really creative and hands on, although I'm often left with a very messy kitchen which needs lots of tiding up as well as a pile if washing up, but its always worth the fun and yummy baked goods.
