FREE FOLIC ACID AT ASDA PHARMACIES THIS SEPTEMBER
One month’s supply available at all Asda Pharmacies
This September, during its tri-annual baby event, Asda pharmacies will once again be offering one month’s supply of Folic Acid free of charge to expectant mothers or those trying to conceive. This is the second time Asda has offered its customers free Folic Acid in an initiative of this kind, which shows Asda’s ongoing commitment to its customers’ health.
While it’s well known that Folic Acid should be taken by women trying to conceive during the early stages of pregnancy, few understand why. Folic Acid is an essential vitamin to take pre and during early pregnancy as it can reduce the risk of severe birth defects as well as complications throughout a pregnancy. While some foods are good sources of Folic Acid, it’s not enough to provide the amounts needed during pregnancy so taking Folic Acid supplements is vital.
When collecting their free Folic Acid throughout the baby event, a visit to Asda Pharmacy will also give women immediate access to a fully qualified health professional who can offer invaluable advice on health, diet and tips for sustaining a healthy pregnancy.
