Persil has tamed up with the Roald Dahl Literary Estate and Quentin Blake to give every family their very own Messy Adventure this summer. For the first time ever, some of the best-loved, and most feared heroes and villains of Roald Dahl’s stories have been brought together in a brand new interactive adventure story,
The ‘My Messy Adventure’ story enables every child (and big kids) to be the hero of their very own Roald Dahl story, where they will get to meet The Witches, Matilda or James (James and the Giant Peach) along the way. Free to play at www.persil.co.uk/Roald-Dahl, the story will encourage families to get outside and go exploring this summer, from the back garden to a local park. We have already had our very own messy adventure in our local park and the boys loved it, It was a great way to get outdoors and enjoy a fun interactive story together.

A study was conducted by Persil among parents and children aged 6 to 12 to launch ‘My Messy Adventure’ which reveals that almost half of children (41%) blame the weather for their reluctance to get outside with a fifth (20%) describing outdoor activities as ‘too boring.’ Typical outdoor activities are also on the decline as over half of children have never been on a nature trail (51%) or been camping (57%) and over three quarters (80%) have never tried orienteering. However, parents no longer see technology as a barrier to outdoor play as almost half (49%) believe their children would play outside more if technology had had an enhanced role, with 72% believing that technology can stimulate children’s imaginations.
We are delighted to team up with Persil to give three lucky readers the chance to WIN a Roald Dahl Gift Bag
