Deiss Pro Citrus Zester & Cheese Grater: Review and Giveaway

Citrus Zester & Cheese Grater

I have been known to buy grated cheese, purely for ease and simplicity as normally grating cheese can just be such a chore, well that was until I got my hands on the cool Deiss grater/zester, made from stainless steel with a comfortable soft grip rubber non-slip handle, and comes complete with its very own safety cover.

I couldn't wait to put it to the test and decided to grate some cheese, I was surprised how quick and simple it was to use, the Deiss greater effortlessly grated the cheese with ease and I was left with finely grated cheese. The great thing about this grater is that you can use it for almost any grating/zesting need from:
Zesting oranges & lemons
Grating ginger or garlic
Perfect for Nutmeg, coconut and chocolate

I love how compact this grater is, it's perfect for my kitchen needs, I will defiantly not be buying grated cheese now that I have this Deiss grater, the Deiss Pro Citrus Zester & Cheese Grater is easy to wash by simply wash under running warm to hot water or put it in the dishwasher. Also, I've collected a few tips to help you make the most out of your new grater:

Here are a few tips for using a Deiss Grater.

1) Freeze the Cheese. Colder cheese grates better. Put the cheese in the freezer for about 30 minutes before grating and you’ll avoid annoying clumping. Even softer cheeses like mozzarella and fontina will grate well if you freeze them first.

2) Oil the Grater. To avoid a messy clean-up, brush the grater with a little cooking oil or a bit of butter before using it.

3) Wash your fruit thoroughly. Use soap and water to wash off pesticides, waxes, and dyes. Allow the fruit to dry before zesting.

4) Remove only the outer part of the citrus rind. Hold the fruit firmly and rub it up and down along the grater. Avoid the white pith. Rotate the lemon slightly after each grating. Try not to scrape any section of the lemon more than once.

5) Remove excess cheese buildup. Sometimes, cheese or other products will get stuck on the underside of the grater. Remove them by tapping the grater against the side of your bowl or cutting board. If necessary, use a cleaning brush and put the grater under running water. Check out Deiss on www.facebook.com/deissofficial and www.instagram.com/deissofficial.
