Our Holiday Good Reads

Holiday Gems are currently running a campaign sharing their top tips and book recommendations, so as its holiday season I thought that I would share my good reads with you.

I must admit I tend to like to read real life inspirational books, I've just finished reading Girl Boss by Sophia Amoruso which was really inspiring reading sharing her tale from rags to riches. I've heard a lot of good things about The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well this defiantly has to be my next read. I tend to download books on my Kindle just for ease and simplicity, but the boys defiantly prefer reading books. When going away I like to read about my destination and prepare and plan my days from lazy days reading on the beach to exploring the sights, I defiantly recommend getting a big map of your destination so you can start plotting and planning your activities.

Holiday Gems Top Tips For Holiday Bookworms
1- If you don’t fancy forking out for a range of books to take away with you, check if your hotel has a lending library.
2 - Not always in the mood for a book? Books can be a bit of a chore for people who aren’t big readers, so don’t forget to take a selection of magazines too.
3 - Try to avoid buying your books at the airport if possible. Many airport stores hike up their prices, so plan in advance and get your reads prior to the departure lounge.
4 - Need some more book inspiration? Head over to the websites of The Guardian, Waterstone’s or Amazon, where you’ll find lots of book recommendations.

When planning a holiday be it planned months ahead or last minute it's always good to plan your reading materials especially for those long flights, so I'll defiantly be making sure that the boys choose a really good book to read and keep them occupied on their journey and knowing them they'll choose one of their favorite books from Diary of Wimpy Kid series.
