Natural History Museum Ice Rink

We were really excited to head down to the Natural History Museum to check out the Museum’s open-air ice rink. As we approached the museum we were in awe of the festive lights around us along with the stunning Christmas tree the stood central in the Ice Rink.

We were really excited and before long we were on the ice some, luckily for the less experienced skaters like myself there is a mini ice rink attached the central ice rink, giving me the opportunity to build up my confidence, The boys are defiantly a lot more experienced than I, so they wasted no time and were off skating and showing off their skills. I really loved the atmosphere everyone was having so much festive fun and for those who didn't want to go on the ice, there was plenty of space inside and out to watch and listen to the music.

Or if you are feeling thirsty you can relax in the Museums Café Bar where you can sit and watch the skaters on the ice from the balcony, there's also a delicious Hotel Chocolat’s rink-side stand where you can purchase a Hot Chocolate along with a range of chocolatey gifts.

Natural History Museum Ice Rink is currently running a Kids Fast Track Skating Course available for children aged 6 upwards to be taught key skating skills to get them skating well within a matter of days, the last course will take place this Tuesday 2nd January - Friday 5th January 2018.

Natural History Museum Ice Rink is open until the 7th January 2018.

We can't recommend The Natural History Museum Ice Rink enough, defiantly a fun-filled day out with the family.for more information check out www.nhm.ac.uk/visit/exhibitions/ice-rink.
