We have had a very busy and amazing August, I have been working mainly from home, but thankfully I had a couple of weeks off, plus as it was officially the half term for the boys, so we wanted to make the most of the sunshine and our time together.
Chessington World Of Adventures
It has to be one of my favourite places to visit, we had to wear our masks on some of the rides which was fine, our tickets were timed which meant there was no queuing on entry, and queuing for rides was socially distanced which made everyone feel safe, it was feel good vibes and a very fun day.
It was reasonably busy, but not as busy as it would normally be, overall we had the most amazing day and had the opportunity to go on many of our favourite rides.
St James Park & Horse Guard Parade
We headed to St James Park to enjoy the sunshine, amazingly we came across these stunning and very friendly Parakeets, we watched as a family fed them, the family kindly gave us some apple and we managed to capture some awesome images.
We also headed to Horse Guards Parade the city is pretty quiet (pre-COVID) so it was nice to get the opportunity to take some images of the city less crowded.
Park Life
We took the opportunity to visit the park almost every day, it has been a great relaxing way to de-stress and spend some quality time together.
I also started the Couch to 5k challenge which has been amazing for me and very therapeutic, unfortunately, I strained my knee quite badly which took over a couple of weeks to heal, I have started exercising at home rebuilding my strength before I head back to jogging in the park.
Camden Market
Camden Market in London is a pretty cool place to visit, there are lots of amazing street food and unique stalls.
We spend the afternoon mulling around looking at the stalls and eating of course.
Among The Trees
We headed to the Haywood Gallery in London to spend some therapeutic time exploring the among the tree exhibition, read more about our day on my new blog at www.shahnazinlondon.com.
Birthday
It was my birthday yay, mixed emotions as it was the first one without my mum, but overall I had a great day and lots of love and gifts and cake, we headed to London Zoo to celebrate on the day, and hubby took me out for a meal the following evening.
London Zoo
What an amazing day, we were super excited as it had been a while since we last visited the Zoo, there was, social distancing rules in place at the Zoo and we had to wear masks when inside enclosed spaces, tickets were timed so it wasn't too busy, such a great memorable day.
I hope you all had a fabulous summer break.
