Easter Holidays at Shakespeare's Globe

  
The Shakespeare Globe Theatre, located in London located on the south bank of the River Thames, is a popular venue for performances of William Shakespeare's plays and other theatrical works. It also hosts educational events, exhibitions, and tours.

This Easter there is so much to see and do including a 90-minute production of The Tempest created especially for young people opens at Shakespeare’s Globe for public performances from 18 March and runs throughout the Easter holidays until 15 April.
 
Directed by Diane Page (Julius Caesar, Globe on Tour 2022), this is the return of Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank, our flagship project for secondary schools which offers over 26,000 free tickets are offered to pupils aged 11-16 at London and Birmingham state schools, with subsidised tickets for schools nationwide.

The Tempest
18 March – 15 April
Experience an electrifying 90-minute production of Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank: The Tempest in the Globe Theatre. Created especially for young people, it’s the perfect introduction to Shakespeare for the Easter holidays.


Alongside The Tempest, Shakespeare’s Globe is running numerous workshops for young people to further explore the play:

Study Boost Workshop
Ages 14-16
3 – 15 April
The day starts with a peek inside the Globe Theatre, then you’ll take part in an interactive workshop using acting techniques and drama activities to explore the play’s language, characters and themes. You’ll develop key skills and a practical toolkit to carry forward into your study and exams, led by one of the Globe’s practitioners who include actors, teachers and directors.
 
The Tempest Workshop
Ages 12+
1, 11 & 14 April
Dive into the wonderful world of The Tempest in this fun and practical workshop. You’ll discover the magic of the play with interactive drama games and activities, and even have a peek inside the Globe Theatre. Workshops are led by one of the Globe’s practitioners who include actors, teachers and directors.
 
The Tempest Family Workshop
For children aged 9-12 and their grown ups
1 – 15 April
Explore the magic of The Tempest with activities and games for the whole family. Including a visit to the Globe Theatre, this is the perfect interactive introduction to Shakespeare, led by one of the Globe’s practitioners who include actors, teachers and directors.
